ABOUT CITYDISRUPT MELBOURNE

OmniChannel Media’s ‘CityDisrupt’ series is a by-invitation-only event series that brings Australia’s leading government and technology executives up close and personal with the technologies, and organisations, disrupting the way cities and communities work.

In order for Australia to maintain its regional economic influence, as well as its high standard of living, both the Government and private sector must look to use the advances in technology to build an infrastructure that is efficient and easy for its citizens.

The technology sector has a critical part to play in this smart city journey. With recent developments in technologies like IoT, data analytics, and digital connectivity, technology is at the heart of smart city strategy. Coupling this with the innovation in green energy solutions such as photovoltaics (PV), battery storage, and digital monitoring systems, the Government has never been in a better investment position in city innovation.

CityDisrupt will address these themes and look at the wider impact that technology is (and can have) on Australia’s cities. The event will act as an entry-point for leading executives from the Government, Infrastructure and Technology sectors to connect and explore the technologies set to disrupt the future of how we live.

Gender & Cultural Diversity:

OmniChannel Media is proud to promote gender and cultural diversity at a C-Suite level. In 2016 our goal is to achieve 40% (as of June, sitting at 54%) diversity at all of our events, working through to a full 50% diversity for 2017.

We look forward to producing the CityDisrupt agenda within the context of this policy.
